1955 Born in Adana, Turkey 1957 Moved to Istanbul with his parents. Started to take photographs and first experince with the darkroom in St. Michel, french high school. 1972 Studied in Geneva, Switzerland for the last 3 years of high school. 1975-81 Studied in University of Miami, Florida, USA. BA degree in Business Management & Organization and BS degree in Political Science. Also studied photography, worked as a news photographer and later became Photo Editor of The Miami Hurricane newspaper. 1980 Gave workshops in The Zone System to the senior students of the Dept. of Photography at the University of Miami.
1982-2004 Gave workshops to the photographers of the Turkish daily newspaper Güneþ. Has been given seminars, workshops to the Photography Societies around Turkey and to the Universities i.e. Mimar Sinan, Marmara, Yildiz ve Cukurova Universities about The Zone System and Black & White Photography. 1984 Formed the FOG Group of Photography with Nevzat Cakir, Ilyas Gocmen, Izzet Keribar, Mehmet Kismet and Yusuf Tuvi.
